Hello

As a Specialist Eating Disorder Practitioner at Wildflower Hill Therapy, I bring over 18 years of healthcare experience, including 11 years as a qualified Mental Health Nurse and seven years in specialist NHS Eating Disorder Services. I am NMC- registered and hold a BA (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing. During my time in specialist eating disorder services,  I have supported individuals with a range of eating disorder presentations, delivering Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) alongside compassionate, person-centred therapeutic support. I also have three years’ experience working in urgent care (A&E), which has given me a strong foundation in understanding clinical risk, responding to crises and supporting people experiencing acute mental health distress. This breadth of experience allows me to remain calm, steady and supportive when working with complex, high-risk or emotionally overwhelming presentations, while helping people feel understood and supported throughout their recovery.

My Bio & Approach

Specialisms: Eating Disorders, Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM), therapeutic support, and supporting people experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

My approach is holistic and person-centred, looking beyond the eating disorder itself to understand the wider factors impacting your wellbeing, identity and sense of self. I am passionate about supporting people to reconnect with who they are outside of their eating disorder and to build a more meaningful, balanced life.

I work flexibly and tailor my support to each individual’s needs, preferences and goals. Drawing on my experience in specialist eating disorder services and training in Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM), sessions can include practical and creative approaches alongside psychological support, such as exploring meal planning, food shopping, cooking skills, supported eating and real- world exposure work where helpful. I aim to meet you where you are and adapt our work together in a way that feels manageable, collaborative and supportive.

My sessions are relaxed, informative and grounded in warmth and respect, creating a safe space where you feel listened to, understood and empowered. Together, we will focus on what you want to get from your sessions and work at a pace that feels right for you, with a strong emphasis on building confidence, autonomy and lasting change.
