My Bio & Approach

Specialisms: Eating Disorders, Body Image Issues, Yo-Yo Dieting, Perfectionism, Anxiety, OCD and Low Self-Esteem

I am trained and experienced in several NICE-recommended treatments for eating disorders, including MANTRA, SSCM, and CBT-E/CBT-T for Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating. With a background in Occupational Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (HCPC and BABCP accredited), I use an integrative approach, drawing on various psychological models to tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. I also offer supported meals, cooking sessions, and social eating in local restaurants, helping clients challenge food-related fears and build a healthier, more flexible relationship with eating.

I specialise in helping individuals with body-image or eating-related challenges, whether related to specific diagnoses or using eating as a way to cope with other life difficulties. I also have extensive experience supporting clients with related struggles, including body image issues, OCD, low self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, and depression.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, respectful, and deeply rooted in empathy. I understand how personal and vulnerable this work can feel, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Whether your goal is to reduce food-related anxiety, build a healthier relationship with your body, or simply feel more in control and at peace, I will support you with compassion and care to move toward the life you want to live, one not defined by food, weight, or shame, but by self-worth, connection, and possibility.

Hello

With five years of experience working in a specialist NHS Eating Disorder Service, I bring a
compassionate, collaborative, and client-centred approach to therapy. I am a fully qualified and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, offering evidence-based treatment for a range of eating disorders, as well as co-occurring mental health difficulties.

Dannii

My Bio & Approach
Specialisms: Eating Disorder presentations, Anxiety Disorders and Low Mood/ Depression

In my NHS role, I provide one-to-one psychological therapy and facilitate group therapy for individuals with Binge Eating Disorder. I am experienced in delivering several NICE-recommended treatments for eating disorders, including CBT-E, CBT-T, the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa for Adults (MANTRA), and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM). My work is grounded
in these approaches, but I tailor therapy to the individual, always considering what feels most helpful and manageable for each person I support.

Before specialising in eating disorders, I worked in adult mental health services, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation issues. This background has given me a broad and flexible foundation as a therapist.

My therapeutic style is warm, holistic, and collaborative. I truly believe that meaningful change happens in the context of a safe and respectful relationship, and I work flexibly to adapt to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. Whether you are struggling with eating difficulties, emotional distress, or both, I aim to create a supportive space where you feel heard, empowered,
and equipped to move forward.

Hello

I’m an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (registered with the BABCP) and have been practising CBT since 2021. I work with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, low mood, specific phobias, low self-esteem, OCD, PTSD, and eating disorders. I have a particular interest and specialist experience in working with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and have supported many people to make meaningful and lasting changes in this area.

Maxine

My Bio & Approach

Specialisms: ARFID, Generalised Anxiety, Low Mood, Specific Phobias, Low Self-Esteem, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, OCD, PTSD

Before qualifying as a CBT therapist, I worked as a registered Occupational Therapist (HCPC) in hospital-based mental health teams from 2019, which gave me a strong grounding in compassionate, person-centred care.

Alongside my private practice, I work part-time for the NHS as a Psychological Therapist within a Specialist Eating Disorder service, where I provide evidence-based therapies including CBT-E and MANTRA for both adolescents and adults with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. I also lead on a pilot NHS pathway for ARFID, delivering CBT-AR to individuals as well as training and supervising other clinicians.

In my private practice, I offer online, medium-term CBT-informed therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-focused. I aim to help you understand your difficulties, explore the factors keeping them going, and, most importantly, support you in making effective changes.

You can expect a non-judgmental and compassionate space where we’ll work together to set goals that are meaningful to you. I believe in empowering people with the tools and understanding they need to become their own therapist, so that over time, you feel confident, capable, and ready to move forward independently.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatment. I’m experienced in delivering several NICE-recommended therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), CBT-T, MANTRA (Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa for Adults), and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM). I also have a special interest in working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients face their fears and build lasting freedom from compulsions. I often integrate principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting individuals to relate differently to their thoughts and feelings while moving toward the things that matter most to them. I bring clinical depth, flexibility, and compassion to each session, tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs.

I hold postgraduate qualifications in both Mental Health Practice and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and I’m accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Hello

As an Associate Psychological Practitioner at Wildflower Hill Therapy, I’m passionate about offering compassionate, specialist support to those navigating eating disorders. I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel understood and empowered in their recovery. I hold a BSc in Philosophy of Mind and an MSc in Psychology (Clinical Applications), and bring over four years’ experience across specialist services, including inpatient adolescent units, adult community teams, and the First Episode and Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders (FREED) pathway. I’ve worked extensively with young people and families, while also supporting adults with binge eating, bulimia, and restrictive eating difficulties. Alongside this role, I’m training as a clinical psychologist (PhD), continuing to deepen my knowledge and skills.

Susie

My Bio & Approach

Specialisms: Eating Disorders (including restrictive but non-underweight presentations), Binge Eating, Bulimia, Body Image Issues, Adolescents & Under-18s.

My therapeutic style is relational and collaborative, rooted in empathy and gentle but compassionate challenge. I work holistically, considering each person’s wider systems, identities, and experiences, and helping them explore the role their eating difficulties play while moving toward a more flourishing, authentic self.

I blend structured CBT-T (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy–Ten) with flexible, client-led approaches, drawing on Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Recovery, to me, is never just about food - it’s about identity, agency, and reclaiming your voice. Whether navigating perfectionism, body image distress, self-harm urges, family dynamics, or social pressures, I support clients to understand the roots of their struggles and build sustainable ways forward.

I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults, and I often involve families where helpful. I also feel confident supporting co-occurring difficulties, such as trauma, ADHD, and autism.

Alongside clinical work, I am actively engaged in research to improve access and outcomes for those with restrictive, non-underweight eating disorders. My research into CBT-T shows promising results, with significant improvements after just 10 sessions. I recently presented this work at the London International Eating Disorder Conference (2025), contributing to the movement for more inclusive practices. NICE guidelines and wider therapy access.
